ELECTION OF MAYORS. The following results of elections in various parts of New Zealand ha,ve been supplied by the Press Association : LEVIN.
Labour candidates met with considerable success in the borough elections. On the council the Labour representation was increased from one to four out of the nine seats, with a Labour Mayor and another Independent Labourite, assuring the party of a majority. Labour secured three out of the five borough seats on the Cook Hospital Board, and one of the five on the power board, but is not represented on die harbour board. ROTORUA. T. Jackson (sitting) 1150 H. Dansey 796 Saturday half-holiday was carried by a majority of 125. Wednesday was the old holiday. LYTTELTON.
