OBITUARY.

SIR TALBOT HOBBS. PERTH, April 22. The death occurred aboard the Oram a at sea of Sir Talbot Hobbs. Lt.-General Sir Talbot Hobbs was born in 1864 at Chelsea, London. He served in the Australian Imperial Forces at the Great AVar in 1914-16 and was at Gallipoli when lie was mentioned in dispatches. He was placed on the retired list in 1915 as Lieut.-General, and was made lion, colonel of the Australian Field Artillery.
