WEDDING.

BUNNY —McHARDY

A wedding of widespread interest was celebrated at St. Cuke’s Church, Havelock North, on Thursday afternoon, when Eleanor Mary, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs P. A. MeHardy, Havelock North, and formerly of Palmerston North, was married to Richmond Ashby Bunny, twin son of Mr and Mrs Oliver Bunny, Waipipi, Masterton. The service was conducted by Rev. S. F. N. Way mouth, and Mr C. Spinney presided at the organ. The bride entered the church to Mendelssohn’s “March of the Priests.” The Woodford House Choir sang the benediction, “God Be In My Head. Miss Decima Ormond sang a solo, “Where-er You Walk,” by Handel. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of clooue lacquered satin embroidered with gold roses. The frock was laced to the waist, and the fully-flared skirt was split to show a satin lacquered slip. A yoke of fine silk net with applique flowers of the dress material was gathered into a high neck. The circular veil was caught with three white butterflies to tlie top of the head. The long, full train was hung from the waist by two circular frills and appliqued with flowers to match the yoke, increasing in number towards the'hem. Mrs Id. MacKenzie was matron of honour. Her frock was of gold chiffon, fully gored, with full and seamless sleeves, the wrists and neck of the frock being outlined with sequins. She wore a gold tulle veil, caught on the head with butterflies. There were four bridesmaids, Misses Audrey Ormond (Wallingford), Pine Wilder (Ngapari), Barbara Kcbbell (Ngarata), and Enid Reeves (Tolaga Bay). They were dressed in frocks matching that of the matron of honour, but in silver tones instead of gold.

The best man was Mr R. Warded, and the groomsmen were Messrs J. Bunny, J. and T. Riddiford (Featherston), and R. Hewitt (Peninsula). The ushers were Messrs H. MacKenzie, R. Bunny and J. Hewitt. After the service some four hundred friends drove to “Te Apuri,” where they, were received by Mr and Mrs P. MoHardy and Mr and Mrs Oliver Bunny. Among those present wa.s Mrs L. E. Bale, of Palmerston North.
