FISHING TRAGEDY.

FIVE MEN BELIEVED DROWNED. Received April 18, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, April 18. A fishing tragedy is reported from Port Kembla, where five men are believed to have been drowned. The men left in a rowing boat for Rabbit Island, beyond Port Kembla Harbour. The boat was found washed up on the beach yesterday. One body was recovered a mile distant. There is no trace of the others. The body, which was recovered, has been identified as that of Joseph Pallier, aged 45. The four missing men are Mr Pallier’s son, who is aged 18; Ray Moon, aged 25; Edward Arney, aged 30; and Reginald Lawson, aged 25.
