STRIKE MAY SPREAD.
LONDON CINEMA WORKERS. LONDON, April 15. A strike by cinema operators for higher wages and shorter hours threatens to extend from London, where 1500 members of the Electrical Trades Union have been rendered idle, to Manchester and Hull. London cinemas opened but many had to close within one to three hours and the halls were picketed.
