SITUATION, EASED.
POLISH ULTIMATUM. VILNA, March 18. The situation has somewhat eased on the realisation that the Polish ultimatum is not so strong as was indicated. It merely demands the resumption of the diplomatic relations broken off in 1920. There is no great mobilisation, though the border troops have been strengthened.
