MORE RULES FOR ATHLETES. CAIRO, March 19. The Olympic committee have adopted recommendations to tighten up amateurism. Athletes must never he doped and a professional in one sport cannot he amateur in others. Regular athletes ■should not he interrupted for more than a fortnight for special training. Athletes who receive gifts of considerable commercial value as a reward ..for their athletic prowess earn) at Olympic Games. There is ifs necessity for clubs to make financial agreements with employers to ensure the Reinstatement of athletes in Their previous situation. Finally, the payment to athletes ot ■ wages in excess of the standard late is an evasion of the amateur rule.
