FROZEN MEAT.
TRADE SLOW. The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business last week:—The market for wethers is rather easier. The market for ewes is quiet and unchanged. There is a fair demand for lambs anil the market is steadier. There is a weaker tendency lor chilled beef. Trade generally is slow. Wethers, light, 5d to 52d per lb; heavy, 3|d to Ewes, 25-8 dto 4RI. Lambs; 2’s, 7d to 7-Id; B’s, 7d to 7-id; 4’s, 7d to 7 l-8d; seconds, 6 7-8 d to 7d ; fores, 7d to 7 l-Bd. Chilled beef, hinds, sjd to 6d; fores, 4d to 4id.
