PARTY LEADERSHIP.
MR BENNETT TO RETIRE. Received March 7, 8.5 a.m. OTTAWA, March 5. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr R. B. Bennett) will ask the national conference of Conservatives to select another leader as the heart ailment which he has been enduring for the past three years has become worse and compels liis retirement. He will remain pending the national convention in June and intends to retain a seat in the House of Commons.
