COMPARATIVE FIGURES. For Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 4. A return issued by the Labour Department shows a drop of 13,700 in the numbers of unemployed against the figures for February 13, 193 f, stated the Minister of Labour (Hon. H. T Armstrong) to-day, and a drop of 815 compared with January, the figures being:— Registered, but not on relief 1004 On sustenance awaiting placement ... 3502 On Scheme No. 5 relief 2735 Total 7241 Oil sustenance, totally unfit for employment. through health and other reasons, but being afforded relief Irom the Employment Promotion Fund, 8000.
