Recalling the strikes which delayed the completion of the Paris Exhibition, over 1000 joiners at the Empire Exhibition at Glasgow struck to-day for an increase of 5d per hour to 2s, with an additional Id per hour "dirty money" for those working outside the buildings, who were hampered by rain and mud. joiners are key men, the opening of the Exhibition may be delayed.
