DATE OF OLYMPIAD.
DELEGATES DISAGREE. Received March 2, 9.30 a.m. PARIS, March 1. A serious disagreement over the date of the Olympic Games arose at the International Amateur Athletic federation Congress, when Dr Nagai, of Japan, said lie would not accept responsibility for the choice of the end of August when it was hottest and most moist in Japan. He suggested the end of September or the beginning of October. The English. French and American delegates pointed out that this would prevent members of universities competing. Sweden refused to send a team unless the date was changed from the moist period. The question was referred to the International Olympic Committee at Cairo.
