(From Our Owh Correspondent) MILSON. Feb. 23. A team oT eight players from the Te Arakura Tennis Club visited Milson on Saturday afternoon. Milson players won hv 11 sets and 86 games to 5 sets and 53 games. A return match is to bo arranged at a later date at Milson. Scores. Te Arakura players mentioned first: Ladies’ singles: Miss 11. Bennett lost in Miss Johansen. 4—6; Miss -J. Bennett lost to Mrs Taylor, 4—6: Mrs Hansen lost to Mrs Brown, 3—6: Miss L. Gore beat Mrs Taylor. 6—5. Men’s singles: J. Sorenson beat 'll. Taylor. 6—2; D. Lewer lost to R. Potts, o—6; H. Ilaythorne lost to L. Morine. 4— 5; p Sullivan lost to J. Leslie, 4—6. Ladies’ doubles: Misses IT anil J. Bennett lost lo Mrs Taylor and Miss Johansen, 4- -6; Mrs Hansen and Miss Gore lost to Mrs Brown and Mrs Taylor, o—6. Men’s doubles: Sorensen and Lewer beat Taylor and Potts. 6 —4: Ilaythorne and Sullivan lost to Morine and Leslie, 3—6. Mixed doubles: Miss 11. Bennett and Sorensen beat Miss Johanand Taylor. 6—5; Miss J .Bennett and Lewer beat Mrs Taylor and Potts, 6 4 ; Miss Gore and Ilaythorne lost to Mrs Brown and Morine, o—6;0 —6; Mrs Idansen and Sullivan lost to Mrs Brow-n and Leslie, 3—6. At the conclusion of the games afternoon tea was served by the local club.
