Lynns), announcing the New Zealand tariff, said: “While it is regretted that t.lio higher duties will mean some curtailment of the growing export trade in manufactured products, the Commonwealth Government cannot question measures within the ambit of the agreement which the New Zealand Government considers necessary for the protection and encouragement of New Zealand inindustrics.”
