MATCHES IN AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY, Feb. 27. The New Zealand girl tennis players played in the junior tennis championships on Saturday. Results: Singles, under 21.—Miss Beverley (New Zealand) beat Miss McKay, 6 —o, 6 —2; Miss Douthett (New Zealand) beat Miss Pivey, 6 —l, 6—4. Singles, under 19. —Miss Armstrong (New Zealand) beat Miss Barnes, 6—3, 6—l. Singles, under 17.—Miss Hodges (New Zealand) beat Miss Woodgate, 63; Miss Wilson (New Zealand) beat Miss Jenkins, B—6.8 —6. The New Zealand girls to-day met a team from the New South Wales Hard Court Association.
