Massey College beat H. L. Young’s by an innings and 66 runs. College knocked iipj 217 (Campbell 101, retired. Zingan 41, Kelly 29; Houghton 5 for 68). Young’s could only raise 99 in their first innings (Houghton 42) and 54 in their second. Bowling for College Zingan took 5 for 29 and Kellv 4 for 35,-Elley 2 for 24 and 6 for 12. United made 123 in their match against Ivia Toa (Wright 43, Blenkinsop 30, Raisin 28; Rush 2 for 25, Fletcher . 2 for 22, Seivert 2 for 23). _Khy Toa scored 126 (Fletcher 64, Pearson 19; MeSweenev 4 for 12. W. Francis 2 for 29). At stumps United had 56 on the board for the loss of three wickets. In their match with Optimists, High School scored 129 (Fletcher 51. Murray 36, Adcock 13; L. Zaloum 5 for 35, Rice 3 for 13). Optimists responded with 116 (Wysocki 37, O’Connell 24, McNab 15 not out; Anderson 7 for 37). Old Boys had first strike in their junior A match against Combined Services for 62 (Winter 19, Gaston 11, Eglinton 10; Morgan 7 for 15, Blummont 1 for 17). The Services reply closed at 144 (Coates 40, Morgan 11, Meech 26,- Gray 23, Blummont 11; Clifford 3 for 47, Harkness 4 for 41. McLachlan 2 for 15). In their second innings Old Boys had five wickets down for 21 runs at the drawing of stumps (Wills 3 for 10, Morgan 2 for 11).
