Additional interest to the programme screening at the Mayfair Theatre at present is given by New Zealand Review No. 4, produced by the Government. Film Studios.’ This 'is entitled “New Zealand’s Isles of Romance —Western Samoa,” and portrays Apia and its neighbourhood, attractive shots of native life and a particularly interesting sequence of a native feast. This latter includes the appropriate massed dances and the ceremonial brewing of the sacred drink, “kava.” The photography is excellent and the accompanying dialogue fully explains every, scene.
