TRAGIC DEATH.

Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON; Feb. 25. At the inquest on Joseph Henry Preston, aged 35, an aero engineer, a verdict was returned of death from tetanus, following an ’incised wound in the right hand. AVhile on a visit to Masterton deceased fell down some steps, at the foot of which was some broken glass, and nearby a flower bed containing horse manure. _ Preston cut liis hand, and it came in contact with the flower bed. 1 A medical witness replied to tbe Coroner , that horse manure was a common source of tetanus.
