HOROWHENUA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Feb.- 21. Rev. Moses Ayrton, who has been on a brieF visit to Otaki, left for Wellington this morning. Mr F. W. G. Rule is on holiday. In a cricket match yesterday an Otaki team beat an eleven from Palmerston North. A number of ratepayers met members of the Borough Council this morning and suggested alterations to the theatre.. At a meeting of Natives at Otaki yesterday £SO was granted towards the reception of the Maori King at Ngaruwahia. Some £l9 in cash was raised during the day.

A dance was held on Friday night, Mr D. Richards acted as M.C.
