JUDGMENT DELIVERED.

AWARD OF WAGES. In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., gave an oral judgment in the case in which Rozetta Z. Duckworth, mantle 6tore proprietress claimed £4l 16s Id, from Arthur Hopwood, hardware merchant, as wages or salary, allegedly due for the work done in a mantle store in Coleman Place. The Magistrate said that in his opinion there had been no provision of partnership between the parties, and fie thought that plaintiff was entitled to the award wages for the period for which she was entitled by law to claim them- As nearly as lie could arrive at that figure he made it £27. Judgment was entered for plaintiff with costs.
