SAFE ROBBERY.
Per Pi-css Association. INVERCARGILL, Feb. 22. During the early hours of this inclining a safe was stolen from the. business premises of Mr M. Tangney, hairdresser and tobacconist, at AAyndham. J lie safe contained only a few notes and silver amouting to just over £q. Iwo doors were prised open by jemmies and tracks of a trolley similar to those used for carting bags of grain and manures made it clear how the safe had been removed from the snop. The -safe was later found open and battered in the . public domain, some distance from the shop.
