MR H. LLOYD THOMAS. Received February 23, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 22.Mr Hugh Lloyd Thomas (Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the British Embassy at Paris) fell and broke his neck in an amateur steeplechase race at the Derby races to-day. Mr Thomas was Diplomatic Private Secretary to the Secretary of State from 1924 to 1929. He accompanied the Duke of Gloucester on the Garter Mission to Japan in May, 1929, and was assistant private secretary to the Prince of Wales from 1929 to 1935.
