OPENING TO-DAY. WEATHER CONDITIONS GOOD. NEW ZEALANDERS’ PROSPECTS. (United Press Association—By. Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received February 5, 11.25 a.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 5. The weather for the opening of the Empire Games is cool and cloudy. The forecast is for some thunder and showers and possibly- hail. Discussing the New Zealanders’ prospects at tlie Games, the manager (Mr McCormick) said that the team on the whole is well. “We are looking forward to obtaining a moderate amount of success and also of gaining valuable experience,” he said.
