RELIGIOUS AWAKENING.

NOTED PREACHER'S VIEWS. SYDNEY, Dec. 9. "In the troubled world to-day, there is a new interest in things spiritual," said Rev. A. Wylie Blue, of Belfast, who arrived yesterday, to become preacher for six months at Scots Church. "This interest is particularly noticeable in young people. The disillusionment and chaos which followed the world war have produced a new questioning about religion," he said. "Religion cannot be beaten. It stands, uncompromising, above everything else. Russia is still religious. The strongest and hardest rock Herr Hitler is up against is the rock of the Church. The defiance of Hitler by the Confessional Church is an example of uncompromising Christianity. It cannot be beaten."
