A significant exchange of telegrams is reported between Senator A. M. Landon and President Roosevelt, the former assuring the President'of his co-operation and support in foreign policy. He added: "There must not be demagogic playing with politics at the expense of the country's unity in a dangerous situation such as is now confronting us." President Roosevelt, replying, sara that while the American people warned peace they had "rejected every suggestion that ultimate security can be assured by closing our eyes to events elsewhere in the world.
