OFFER REFUSED

TERMS FOR RUGBY PLAYER

SULLIVAN DECLINES CONTRACT. NEW PLYMOUTH, Dee. 21. 'J. L. Sullivan, the Taranaki and All Black Rugby footballer, has refused the offer of an English League club to play in England on a four years’ contract. Sullivan’s passage had already been hooked by the - English club, and, had he accepted the offer, he would have sailed on Tuesday. The hooking has been cancelled. The reported terms of the offer to Sullivan were £SOO cash before he left New Zealand, £5 per week during the currency of his tour years’ contract and payment for each match at the rate of £5 for a win, £3 for a draw and £2 for a loss.
