BIDDING ANIMIATED.
SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, Dec. 16. At the wool sales 10,368 bales were offered, 9360 sold ; also 1108 bales were sold privately. At the closing auctions for the half-year to-day the competition was animated, with Japan providing good support. The market ruled in sellers’ favour for the best descriptions. Greasy Merino made to 283 d, which is a record on the Sydney market this season.
