TERMS DECLINED. ALTERNATIVE PROPOSAL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 15. At a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association a letter was received from the Indian Hockey Federation decliriing a.n invitation to send an Indian team to tour New Zealand next season. The reason given by India for declining the invitation was that the financial guarantee offered by New_ Zealand was not sufficiently attractive to India. Mr C. C. Holland moved tlia.t a cable be sent to the Indian Hockey Federation requesting permission to send an invitation to the Indian State of Manavadar to organise an Indian hockey team to tour New Zealand during the months of May, June and July of next year, the financial terms being the same as that which previously had been offered to the Indian Federation.
