RECORD ENTRIES. Favoured with perfect weather, heavy entries for both running and cycling events, and a good attendance of the public, the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s, programme last evening at Kowhai Park proved an interesting one. It was stated by a keen supporter of athletics that he had never seen such splendid entries in Feilding as far as a club night was concerned. The programme comprised three cycling and three running events, besides running races for the children. Details are as follow. — Running.—loo yards: J. Keneven (6iyds) 1, P. Packer (7iyds) 2, H. Ea.de (75yds) 3; time, 2min 1 4-5 sec. . . Cycling.—One mile dash-: First heat, J. Allen (10yds) 1. Green (50 yds) 2, H. Cocker (10yds) 3; time, 34 4-ssec; second heat. Kitchen (50yds) 1, Batten (50vds) 2, McCardle (45 yds) 3; time, 34 l-ssec; final, Kitchen 1 J. Allen 2, AlcCardle 3; time, 33 245 s ec. One and a-half miles, Cocker (30yds) 1. Joe Allen (30yds) 2, H.
