(From Oiy Own Corrcspondmit.) OTAKI. Dec. 10. Considerable delay lias occurred over the erection of the Municipal Theatre and as a result _.;everal letters have been written on the matter. It is now almost two years since the old Cosy Theatre \wis destroyed by fire, and residents have been anxious for some definite information. They will now be pleased to learn that the work is to be put in hand shortly. The death has occurred at Wanganui of Mrs Jeffers, mother of Mr J. Flutey, of Otaki. The deceased lady, who was 73 years of age, for some time resided at Otaki, where she had many friends. The Olaki Relief Committee lias decided to make a grant of 17s 6d (groceries) to married men on relief and 12s 6d (groceries) to the single man. Mrs Love, who has been ill very indifferent health for some time, was yesterday taken to the Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs MacLeod, who has been in Auckland for several weeks on Holiday, returned to Otaki yesterday.
