At the Otago swimming championships Miss Winnie Dunn in a special attempt covered, the 100 metres women’s breaststroke in 93sec, breaking the record" of 93 l-ssec held by Miss Judith Webster, of Auckland. Miss Islay Purdie, by winning the 440 yards ladies’ championship, registered her third title success at the meeting.
