WANGANUI CHAMPION’S FEAT. Per Press Association. WANGANUI. Dec. 14. J. Morgan, Wanganui discus thrower, who won the event at the New Zealand athletic trials at Wellington on Saturday, was quick to take advantage of the advice given him by Mr A. Fitch, the American coach imported by the Wellington Athletic Centre. In a special trial tonight, arranged under championship conditions and in the presence of officials of the West Coast Athletic Centre and the Press, Morgan threw the discus 137 ft 3in in one throw and 137 ft in the next, bettering his effort at Wellington by more than six feet.
