The Farmers’ Dairy Union had decided to pay out lOd per lb of butterfat, Mr T. M. "Wilford (later Sir Thomas) had been appointed counsel for the bookmakers in their battle to save extinction- He had written to the Manaws,tu Club asking it to modify its charges.
