WITHDRAWAL RUMOURS. OFFICIALLY DENIED. ♦ BUT BELIEF CONTINUES. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) Received December 10, 10.30 a.m, ROME,. Dec. 9. The official spokesman denies that tho withdrawal of Italy from the League of Nations is imminent, but despite the official disclaimer the withdrawal seems certain. The Grand Council lias been summoned to meet oil Saturday, and immediately after the meeting an announcement will be made from the balcony of the Piazza Yenezia, instead of by ’ the customary statement.
