A group of Mid-West Republican leaders emphasise that he is not only a public idol whose popularity is singularly undiminished with the years, but his recent advancement “as a serious-minded business man puts the finishing touches to him as a candidate.” They insist* that he will probably solely be able to win the next election against the Democrats.
