BUSINESS PROGRESS.
IN THE CITY. Over forty years ago a business was started in a small way in Palmerston North and as the years rolled on so the business became firmly established and ’ step by step with the progress of the city, developed and prospered. Some six years ago the founder died and a now company purchased the business, but as the original name had by this time become a household word it was retained. |
With the rapid changes of recent years the proprietors have seen the necessity of modernising their services in every way possible and year by year some fresh innovation has been introduced. Now with the latest internal reconstruction and expansion of their premises this old established business provides the most comprehensive furnishing service in the province. Four well organised departments occupy fifteen thousand square feet of floor space entirely devoted to furniture. The re-modelled (new) Furnishing Department with main entrance in ltangitikei Street has two showrooms on the ground floor and the greater part of the whole top floor for tho display of Fashion Seal Furniture, Bedding, Carpets and other floor coverings, etc. These showrooms are particularly well lighted and attractively set out and inspection of* the modern furniture displayed is well worth while. Another department, new to Palmerston North and situated on the first floor, is “Renovated Used Furniture." Here will be found good used furniture thoroughly reconditioned and in first-class order.
This service will fill a long felt want ns many homes whilst desiring used furniture wish ,it to be in new condition and as free from fault as possible. The Auctioneering Department is so well known, as the name of Mounsevs, Ltd. and auctioneering have been associated for over forty years, that the modern methods and general conduct of this department should bo made use of by all having • furniture to sell. • The Property Department, with entrance from Queen Street is well organised to take charge of all matters relating to the securing .or disposal of homes and invites enquiries in this connection.
