SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES VOTED MARKETING BILL , DENOUNCED More money for public purposes was voted yesterday when the House of Representatives dealt with tlie Supplementary Estimates. A feature of the discussion was an objection to tlie vote for the wheat industry as a protest against the price of bread. The House did not rise till 1 a.m. Strong- denunciation of the Local Marketing Bill was heard in the Upper House, members describing it as a “step on the road to Communism” and “one more nail in the coffin of jirivate enterprise.”
