AUSTRALIAN DECISION. Received December 8, 10.10 a.m. CANBERRA, Dec. 8. The Minister of Customs (Mr White) yesterday announced in the House of Representatives that . the Government would abandon the licensing system on which its trade diversion policy was based, and would revert to the use of the tariff to protect Australian industries.
