CROQUET TOURNEY.

YESTERDAYS RESULTS. The annual tournament of the Manawatu Croquet Association has now reached the final stages. Yesterday morning’s results are as follow: OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. Second Life. Final.—Mrs Brown beat Mrs McMurray, 26—15. Mrs Brown established a strong lead in the early part of the- game and held the advantage throughout. She laid up for the peg and in doing so put Mrs McMurray in position to run the hoop, letting her in to make a few more hoops. Mrs Brown again got in and pegged out one ball, but missed with the other. 'Mrs McMurray picked up a long shot and made four more points, but stalled in a hoop. Mrs Brown hit the stick from the baulk line. LEVEL SINGLES.

One of the three games to be played between Mrs Lee and Mrs Batchelor for the final of the Level Singles lias been completed, Mrs Batchelor beating Mrs Lee, 26—7.
