SOME RAIN PROBABLE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. The recent anti-cyclone has passed awav eastwards. Since last night a shallow depression has crossed the southern portion of the South Island, and is being followed by another one across the Tasman Sea Pressure has risen over Eastern Al \ str ? lia ;, J h forecast is for moderate to strong northerlv to westerly wind reaching gale force at some exposed and backing to southerly within 24 hours The weather wdl be fair, at first, but clouding over, and some rain probable to-night or to-morrow temperatures becoming cooler. Seas rather rough to rough.
