CASE AT AUCKLAND.
FACIFIC AIR SERVICE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. o. In connection with the cable message from Sari Francisco stating that - the Pan-American Airways service to isew Zealand would have Russell as the base instead of Auckland. Mr Harold Gattv. representative in Australia and JNew Zealand of Pan-American Airways, said the cable was erroneous. It Had definitely been decided that the service would rim to Auckland. Russell would lie used purely as an emergency base with- a wireless station for the purpose of guiding the ’planes into the coast by direction finding.
