SEVEN RECORDS BROKEN

BRISBANE, Dec. 5.

Seven Queensland records were broken in the Australian athletic championships. Backhouse (Victoria) won the mile in 4.21 4-5. Mumford (New South Wales) won the 440 yards in 48 4-5 see. Stenner (New South Wales) won the 120 yards hurdles in 14 9-10 sec. Stubbs (New South Wales) won the three-mile walk in 21min. 42sec. McKenzie (New South Wales) won the shot putt with 45 feet 51 inches. Metcalfe won the hop, step and jump with 48 feet 61 inches. Shetliffe (hew South Wales) won the high jump with a leap of 6 feet 4f inches.
