RUGBY, Dec. 4

The sum of £13,529 has been raised this summer by the national garden scheme of the Queen’s Institute for District Nursing, under which the owners of famous gardens and houses of historical interest open them to the public. Since the inception of the scheme in 1927, £114,642 has been collected for the work of the institute and the Nurses’ Association in England and Wales. This year the King allowed the gardens at Sandringham to be opened.
