FELL ASTERN.
ONE OF SQUADRON. TRIP TO AUSTRALIA. LONDON, Dec. 3. There is no official explanation of the failure to reach Marseilles of one of the'five. Royal Air ,Force flying-boats which took off for Australia from Plymouth yesterday in fine weather. Apparently it was making slower speed and fell astern.' ‘ The News Chronicle says it was felt that it would not be able to reach Berre (near Marseilles) before dark and hence alighted at Hourtin.
