M. JANSON’S MINISTRY. BRUSSELS, Nov. 24. The Ministry which M. Janson has formed is described as a Cabinet of National Union, continuing M. Zeeland’s economic and social programmes. M. Janson is the first npn-Catholic Premier for 53 years. Dr Paule Emile Janson, barrister and advocate of the Court of Appeal, Brussels, has been a Deputy since 1914, and is a leading member of the Liberal Party. He was Minister of National Defence in 1920 and Minister of Justice in 1927-31. He was Belgian delegate to the League of Nations Assembly from 1926 to 1929, and was Minister of Justice in the de Broqueville Cabinets in 1932 and 1934.
