FITZHERBERT WEST
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FITZHERBERT WEST. Nov. 24. On a recent evening- the Hall Committee held their final euchre and dance for the year in the Tiritca School. The euchre prizes wore ■ won by Miss Joy Brill and Mr C. Dickinson. The points prize for the highest aggregate for the past six months was won by .Mrs T. Kilgarriff, Miss E. Grcaterox being runner-up. Dancing was held to pianafortc music supplied by Mr R. Brill, of Aokautere. The District Hall Committee have decided to hold the annual Chris! mas tree on a suitable date in December. At a meeting held -in the Tiritea School the young men of this district and hall supporters decided to hold fortnightly dances in aid of the hall funds. Farm work in this district is well in hand. Shearing operations having beefinished on a number of farms, and th rain will be welcomed by all. The friends of Mrs R. Kiloly, will b pleased to hear that she has sufficient! recovered from her recent operation t be about again. Mrs R. Walkpr and Mi: Millv Walker, of Woodhaugh, Dunodir who have been the guests of Mr and M T. Kilgarriff, have returned to the; homo.
