Donald Budge, rated as the world tennis champion an cl Gene Mako, his partner, in the American Davis Cup team, are passing through Auckland by the Monterey to-dny on their wav to Australia, where they, will play exhibition matches and participate in championship meetings. The president, Mr Lamb, and the secretary, Mr Porter, boarded the vessel When she berthed, but left at 10 o’clock leaving a message stating that the Auckland Tennis Association would he pleased to extend courtesies during . the brief visit.
