FELLOWSHIP IN MUSIC.

AWARD TO iMISS B. OAKLEY. A high distinction in. the world of music has been gained by Miss Beryl Oakley, of Palmertson North, who, according to advice received by Mr A. J. Graham, secretary for the Trinity College of Music, by air-mail from London yesterday, has been awarded a fellowship in pianoforte as recommended by Mr Kcrridge (who recently examined for the Trinity College in Palmerston North), and approved by the College. Miss Oakley, a daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. Oakley, is a member of one of the city’s oldest families and is a very talented musician, as is shown by the fact that she already holds the degree of L.R.S.AI. Mr Oakley’s father was one of the pioneer builders in Palmerston North.
