LEADING CRICKETERS.

MOLONEY AND GALLICHAN. RUMOURiOF TRANSFERS. A rumour has been current that Mahawatu cricket .is to lose the services of both Messrs D. A. R. Moloney and N. Gnllichan on their return from the overseas tour of the New Zealand cricket team. In the case of the former reference to a reliable source showed that while there has not been any definite advice received on the subject, it is almost certain that he will not be stationed at Palmerston North on his return. In regard to Mr Gallichan, it was stated that, there has been no advice received of his transfer or of any impending transfer. .It is generally the case that members of the staff of the Government department in which Mr Gallichan is employed return to their former office on the completion of such a trip. The information available so far indicates that that course will be followed in this case.
