MCKENZIE’S OPEN THREE NEW STORES.
This week will mark an occasion without precedent in New Zealand business history. McKenzie’s will be opening stores in three of the prosperous secondary towns of New Zealand; thus Stratford, Rotorua, and Ashburton will be placed on an equality with the largo cities in that they will receive all tne advantages of this modern and popular form of business. Great rivalry is being shown by the business managers in each of these towns as to which will have the most successful opening, and their efforts doubtless will be reinforced by the local patriotism of each centre. The amount of organisation necessary for this unique occasion is very great, and may be realised in part from the fact that it has been necessary to erect large new stores at each town. Each of these stores lias been provided with an expensive air-conditioneu plant for Hie comfort of customers, and has as full a range of goods as available in the metropolitan centres. The whole enterprise illustrates the vast growth of this movement in which the 100 per cent. New Zealand organisation. “McKenzie’s” lias taken a leading part.
